SAFER carriers

At McClays Logistics, our brokers pre-vet all carriers on our network. We check their details personally and against the SAFER database administered by FMCSA including:

  • Business Information about the Carrier
  • Carrier’s current Operating Status with FMCSA
  • MC/MF/FF Number(s)
  • USDOT Number + State Carrier Number
  • Operation Classification (e. g. “Authorized-For-Hire”)
  • MCS-150 Form Date and Miles
  • Inspections of Equipment and Drivers
  • Number of Violations for Drivers / Vehicles

Then we go that extra mile, checking their Carrier Safety Rating and Operating Status, claim rate and risk factors, and their specific level of insurance.
